Faded French Tutorial

Some French manicures just look too tacky and chunky to be beautiful, and for special occasions like your wedding, the last thing you want is to look tacky.

I've worked with Weddingstar to deliver an easy and more subtle French manicure look. Read my write-up of the look over at Weddingstar's blog here! They'll be doing a Fashion Friday post every second Friday, and I'm honored to be the kickoff post for it, so please go give it a look (whether you're in a bridal party soon or not).

  3. Yessir, this is a nice bridal look, alright! :D
Love the subtle french tip, specially 'cause I'm not a fan of the whole Frenchie manis. Which is why I love the whole gradient effect on this here look :)
Thank you for your (always) fab tutorial! **

  9. I've been wanting to try this mani since you posted it, and now I finally did :) You can see it here (sorry it's all in Swedish): http://nailsandallthatjazz.blogspot.se/2014/03/nail-art-sunday-faded-french.html
It's not as good as yours though, but you are a great inspiration!

  10. Do you paint the sponge with 2 separate lines of the different paints, or do you layer the colors together on the sponge? TIA!

    1. I paint the sponge with the two colors separately, but they're side by side, so when you sponge the nail, they should blend together as you layer the polish on the nail.
