Inspiration for a manicure can come from the strangest places. You'll never guess where I was inspired for tonight's.
It was actually a commercial that briefly showed a girl riding a bus. Her bus seat had a pattern similar to this:
The colors were close too. I recently organized all my polishes, so I knew I had colors that would perfectly to recreate the bus seat I had seen. Most are from China Glaze, including Exotic Encounters, Igniting Love, Ride the Waves and Desert Sun. The only non-China Glaze is Black Onyx, an OPI.
Now that you know the manicure was based off of a bus seat, you can't seem to get that image out of your head can you? Sorry about that.
Where's the most random place you've seeked out inspiration?
It's beautiful - and I know about this kind of inspiration, it's so fun :)
ReplyDeleteThis is cool! I've done that too - I was inspired by a mat once - weird :) Love this mani though, the China Glaze colours are amazing :D
ReplyDeleteit totally looks like one of our old bus seat patterns!!
ReplyDeleteNice pattern!
ReplyDeleteI have ridden a bus with this seat pattern! Just don't sit on your hands LOL. This is awesome!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! I think one of the most fun things with nail art can be finding a real life inspiration pattern and then figuring out to make it "make sense" on nails. Well done!
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome! I drive a '97 Subaru and the seats totally look like this! :)
ReplyDeleteHah, i know this pattern
ReplyDeleteOK I'm gonna say it again. You just amaze me with your nail art and the fact that you do it on nubs makes it even cooler. I love this
ReplyDeleteHow did you do the colors? They are so small it would take a LOT of tape and a LOT of time if you did it that way. The lines are really straight so not sure you did it freehand. Stamp maybe?
ReplyDeleteThey were just freehanded. :)
